g House (currently in design development)

is major renovation and addition to a single family residence in Redondo Beach, CA. The clients want to strip away a "craftsman" style that was added to the house fifteen years ago, and create an updated modern aesthetic. The renovation opens up the first floor into a natural light filled, open floor plan that spills outside to a private backyard living area. A large roof top patio is added above the garage at the front of the property, creating a more public outdoor area where the clients can socialize with the neighborhood. A large master suite and guest room are relocated to a new second floor addition. The proposed design will incorporate eco-friendly materials and methods and provide an enegry efficieny make over to the building envelope. Construction slated to begin in the fall.
