California Street (finishing up - more photos to follow)

is a modern, eco-friendly, energy efficient make over to a modest single family home in Burbank, California. The new design removes the majority of interior walls, which creates an open concept living / kitchen / dining area that spills out to a large covered patio in the back yard. At the back of the property a guest house and a detached garage frame a courtyard with the mainhouse. The courtyard acts as an outdoor living room which makes the modest sized house live larger and takes advantage of the Southern California climate.
